As we step into 2026 united in our mission to drive further change, our Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter co-chair, along with two of our signatory organisations, share their perspectives on:

WHAT’S NEXT IN 2026

We’re excited to take our Charter mission beyond the UK to Europe, a natural progression given the global nature of our industry, with 30% of our signatories based overseas. This international approach will amplify our impact and foster a truly global dialogue on diversity in aviation. We’re also looking forward to connecting with our community at our upcoming 2026 events, including to celebrate International Women’s Day in March, at the Farnborough International Airshow in July, and more.

Together we will drive change in our industry.

CELEBRATING 7 YEARS OF THE CHARTER

Sumati Sharma CA, WIAA Charter Co-founder and Co-chair, Partner at Oliver Wyman, celebrates reaching the milestone of having more than 260 signatory organisations, all working every day to make our industry more diverse, inclusive and accessible for all. She also acknowledges the challenges the sector faces and how these can be overcome.

PRIDE AT BEING A CHARTER SIGNATORY

Ronald Leitch, Chief Operating Officer, AGS Airports, highlights AGS’s shared ambition with the Charter to drive change in the industry with diversity and inclusion being values that are essential to help create a stronger aviation environment.

CHALLENGING EACH OTHER TO DRIVE FURTHER CHANGE

Natalie Bush, Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager, Loganair Limited, reminds us of the four charter commitments, as well as, the challenges in the Charter community. Highlighting the need to be seen and visible, and to live and breathe the Charter commitments in order to drive change.
