As part of the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter’s Meet the Signatories series, members of the Charter explain why they joined the Charter, and what steps they have since taken to ensure the inclusion of women in the sectors.

Next in the series, we talk to Thrive Law:

Please name your organisation and explain what it does in the aviation or aerospace industry

Thrive Law has been proactive within the aviation & aerospace industry through Tanya Dolan who is Chair of the Funding & Finance Strategy on the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter Board. Tanya has also organised many events for IAWA (International Aviation Women’s Association) including virtual networking with guest speakers which has offered a huge support to members particularly through this challenging time. Thrive Law has been proactive in promoting and supporting Project Wingman including promotion on social media and publishing articles on how companies within aviation & aerospace can provide help for the very worthwhile cause.

Why did you join the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter?

The work of the Charter completely aligns with the work on diversity and inclusion that Thrive Law has been carrying out since it was founded by Jodie Hill (add something here about the D&I awards nomination).

What steps are your organisation now taking to help improve gender balance in the industry?

Thrive Law is aiming to help address gender imbalance issues through promoting the work of the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter and IAWA across many organisations including raising awareness with other Charters with similar aims. We are also helping to address the future talent pipeline by aiming to link the DfT and the Education & Employers charity with organisations within the aviation & aerospace industries to help raise career awareness within schools and universities.
