Please name your organisation and explain what it does in the aviation or aerospace industry

Global Aerospace is an insurance provider headquartered in London with operations in six countries worldwide. The company has more than 90 years’ experience insuring aerospace business and underwrites on behalf of a pool of major international insurance and reinsurance companies. Examples of assets that are covered by Global Aerospace’s insurance policies include: airlines, corporate jets, helicopters, private aircraft, manufacturers, airports and satellites.

Why did you join the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter?

We recognise that women are underrepresented in the insurance and aviation industries and wanted to support the commitments. We recognise the importance of awareness at all levels within our organisation as the first step to being able to make change.

What steps are your organisation now taking to help improve gender balance in the industry?

At Global Aerospace we recognise the importance of being aware of how diverse you are as an organisation, to support this we have introduced a quarterly gender and diversity report as part of our management reporting.
